Deep Sea Fishing

Deep Sea Fishing is a free online fishing game you play right in your browser. You drop the hook from the boat and drag sideways to dodge the fish on the way down: the deeper you reach, the more valuable the fish. When the hook hits the first fish, or the line runs out, it heads back up and the idea flips, because now you drag to grab as many as will fit. At the surface the fish jump into the air, and each one you tap before it falls is worth double.

With the coins you buy a longer line, more space on the hook, a shield that takes hits on the way down and a night net that earns even with the game closed. There are six zones, from the colorful reef to the lost realm in the dark, with 24 species to collect, rare golden fish and treasure chests. On Easy the sea is calmer with fewer fish; on Hard there are more fish, the hook drops faster and every fish pays more. Your progress is saved on your device.

How to play

  • Drag the hook sideways and dodge the fish on the way down; when it hits a fish or the end of the line it heads back up, and now you grab as many as you can.
  • The fish jump out at the surface and turn into coins (tapping is worth double): buy a longer line, more hook space, a shield and a night net.

On the keyboardMouse or arrow keys move the hook; Space casts and pops the fish in the air; 1 to 4 buy upgrades; C opens the collection.

Tips to play better

  1. 1On the way down, watch the space below the hook and make short moves: a big swerve often lands you on another fish.
  2. 2In the first trips, balance line and hook: a long line with no hook space wastes the expensive fish.
  3. 3On the way up, avoid the pink jellyfish, which knock two fish off the hook.
  4. 4Tap the fish at the top of their jump, above all golden ones and chests: they are worth double.
  5. 5Buy the night net early and come back later to collect; it earns for up to 8 hours.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when the hook hits a fish on the way down?

It stops descending and starts climbing right there, with that fish already caught. The shield prevents this once per level bought.

What is the collection for?

Each new species adds 2% to the value of all fish, for good.

Do the powers cost money?

No: double catch and the magnet come from watching a video, one video per use.

Do I lose my progress if I close the page?

No. Money, upgrades and collection stay saved on your device, and the night net keeps earning.
