Nuts and Bolts
Nuts and Bolts is a sorting puzzle: you take coloured nuts off one bolt and screw them onto another until every bolt holds a single colour. A finished bolt gets a cap and stays out of the way. Each colour also carries its own symbol, which helps when two shades look alike.
There are five difficulties, from Easy to Ultra hard, with bolts that hold more or fewer nuts. You can undo, ask for a hint and open space on an extra bolt. In some levels the lower nuts are grey and only show their colour once they reach the top.

How to play
- Move nuts between bolts until each bolt holds a single colour.
- A nut can only go on top of a nut of the same colour.
On the keyboard1 to 9 and 0 pick a bolt (or the arrows and Enter or Space), Z undoes, H gives a hint, + unlocks a space on the extra bolt, Esc drops the nut.
Tips to play better
- 1Matching nuts stacked on top move together. Use that to clear a whole bolt in just a few moves.
- 2Save an empty bolt for the end. It is the only spot that takes any colour, and it rescues a level that looks stuck.
- 3On levels with grey nuts, work first on the bolts hiding the most nuts. Every colour you reveal changes your plan.
- 4Before moving, count the free space on the target. If not all matching nuts fit, one is left behind and that colour ends up split across two bolts.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get more hints in Nuts and Bolts?
You start with two and earn another every few levels you beat. If you run out, you can get one more by watching a short video.
What does the Add button do?
It opens a slot on the extra bolt, which starts locked. Each use frees one more slot until that bolt matches the size of the others.
