About the game
Petdoku
Petdoku is a logic puzzle with cute pets instead of numbers. You place cats, dogs or pandas on a colourful grid, and every level has a single solution you can reach by reasoning alone. There are four difficulty levels: Easy starts on 4x4 grids and Extra hard goes up to 8x8.
A tap marks an X and a double tap places a pet. A pet in the wrong spot turns into a red X and costs one of your three lives. The hint points to a square and explains why, there's undo, and in the settings you can change the pet, the placement mode and turn on auto fill.
How to play
- Place one pet in every row, every column and every colour.
- Two pets can never touch, not even diagonally.
On the keyboardArrow keys move the selection, Enter places or removes the pet, X or Space cross out a square, Z or Ctrl+Z undoes, H gives a hint.
Tips to play better
- 1Start with the smallest colours. A colour with two or three squares leaves few spots for its pet and often unlocks the rest of the grid.
- 2As soon as you place a pet, mark an X on all eight squares around it. The next moves become much easier to see.
- 3If a whole colour sits inside a single row, that row's pet must belong to it. Mark X on the other colours' squares in that row.
- 4Drag your finger along a row to mark several X at once. Mark freely, because an X never costs a life.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if I place a pet in the wrong square?
It doesn't stay: the square becomes a locked red X and you lose a life. When you're out of lives, you can get three more and stay on the same level.
How do hints work?
You start with one hint and earn more as you win levels. The hint highlights a square, explains the rule that solves that step, and the Apply button makes the move for you.
